The Marvels is Being Pushed Back to November

Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels has a new release date. The film was originally schedule to release mid-summer at the heart of the blockbuster season. Instead, The Marvels, starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, will now hit theaters on November 10th. Marvel Studios has also released a poster featuring the three leads.

New York Times Film Critic A.O. Scott Moving to Book Reviews After the Oscars

A.O. Scott, who has reviewed more than 2,200 films for the Times over the last 23 years, is shifting to The New York Times Book Review following the Oscars. According to a memo to Times staff released earlier today, Scott will now “write critical essays, notebooks and reviews that grapple with literature, ideas and intellectual life.” A Times spokesperson said that the outlet will be hiring another film critic.

The ChatGPT artificial intelligence program, which can generate blocks of text from simple prompts, has fueled a sudden boom in AI-written books on Amazon. As of mid-February, there were more than 200 e-books on Amazon’s Kindle store that list ChatGPT as an author or co-author. That number is rising daily. Tutorials are springing up across the Internet to help people write their own books in ChatGPT in just a few hours.
