Batman The Jiro Kuwata Batmanga cover

Batman: The Jiro Kuwarta Batmanga Volume Two by Jiro Kuwata

Batman was a global phenomenon in the 1960s. This volume collects all of the “Bat-manga” that Kiwata created in the wake of the TV show’s popularity. It’s a really fun opportunity to see how another culture interprets and builds on a very American icon!

Legends of the Dark Knight cover

Legends of the Dark Knight by Various Creators

If you prefer a more modern take on the Caped Crusader, you might like this anthology. Some of the most creative names in comics gather to tell original stories about these age-old characters. It can be hard to find fresh perspectives on such an established and popular character, but these comics sure do try. Get ready to see Batman and company as you never have before!

Hope I didn’t drive you too batty today. Okay, I promise no more bat-puns, so be sure to tune in again next week, same Bat-time, same Bat-newsletter!

(I’m done for real now.)
