Here’s a First Look at Alison Cochrun’s Rom Com Kiss Her Once for Me

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive look at Alison Cochrun’s sapphic holiday novel Kiss Her Once for Me, and the story is influenced by something (and someone) who might surprise you. “The inspiration for this book really was Bill Pullman, specifically in the movie While You Were Sleeping,” Cochrun said in an interview with EW. “Because I firmly believe that his aesthetic in that movie is Portland lesbian. He wears amazing flannels and this Carhartt jacket and he has this floppy hair. It’s one of my all time favorite movies.” Do you see the Pullman influence? $110k+ Raised for Ridgeland Library in Support of Controversial Exhibit

Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised in support of a controversial book exhibit in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The exhibit features LGBTQ+ books, including The Queer Bible. The director of the library system says the Ridgeland mayor is withholding $110k because of the book display. Now, people from across the country are donating to the library through fundlibraries.org. Book Riot reported on the fundraiser when it began, and now in only fifteen days after the fundraiser began, it has reached its goal of $110k, and counting!

Blade Runner 2099 Series in the Works

Amazon studios is developing a small-screen version of the iconic sci-fi franchise Blade Runner, with original director Ridley Scott signed on as executive producer. The project, titled Blade Runner 2099, is meant to be a sequel to the original 1982 film and its 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049. Blade Runner is an adaptation of the Philip K. Dick novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? which follows the story of Rick Deckard who is tasked with hunting rogue androids (or “replicants”).
