Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me, a nonfiction book written in the format of a letter to his son about being Black in America, was first adapted by the Apollo Theater for stage and has now been adapted by HBO into a television special, premiering November 21 at 8pm on HBO Max. And here’s the official trailer which I can’t stop watching–it’s so well filmed with so many amazing actors.
