Last night at the Austin Public Library, Kirkus Reviews announced the winners for the Kirkus Prize for fiction, nonfiction, and young readers’ literature. All the congratulations to The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, How We Fight for Our Lives: A Memoir by Saeed Jones (I read this months ago and still think about it), and New Kid by Jerry Craft, Jim Callahan.
